BMHA Picture Day - Save the Date!
BMHA Picture Day will be held November 15 & 16 at the IUOE Auditorium (4333 Ledger Ave, Burnaby), thanks to the generous support of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 115.
All players will receive a team and individual photo at no cost, with optional photo packages available for purchase. Please remember - even if you’re only selecting the free package, a completed order form is still required. Your Team Manager will share your team’s scheduled photo time and distribute the order forms ahead of Picture Day.

BMHA Toy & Sports Drive - Support the Burnaby Christmas Bureau
In the spirit of giving back, BMHA is excited to bring back our Toy & Sports Drive in support of the Burnaby Christmas Bureau - and this year, it’s happening alongside Picture Day!
While you’re at the IUOE Auditorium for your team photos on November 15 & 16, we invite all BMHA families and teams to bring a new, unwrapped toy or piece of sports equipment to help local families in need.
The Burnaby Christmas Bureau helps ensure every child in our community has gifts to open during the holidays. In addition to toys, there’s a big need for sports items - basketballs, soccer balls, baseball gloves, skipping ropes, floor hockey sticks, and more. It doesn’t have to be expensive - just something that helps a child smile this season.
With over 750 BMHA members, our hockey community can make a huge difference. Let’s help make the holidays brighter for Burnaby families!

Catch the Action - Watch BMHA Games Live!
 Families, friends, and fans can now follow BMHA games live through our BMHA LiveStream Channel on YouTube. Whether you’re at home, at work, or away for the weekend, live-streaming makes it easier to stay connected to your player and team throughout the season.
In addition to keeping everyone in the loop, game footage provides a valuable opportunity for players and coaches to review performance, track progress, and build on skills. It also serves as a lasting record of the season - a great way to revisit memorable moments on and off the ice!

BMHA Plays of the Month
 Each month, BMHA will spotlight the incredible moments that happen on the ice. The Plays of the Month program celebrates the skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship of our players, featuring the top 10 plays submitted by our members.
Players featured in the Top 10 will receive a $10 gift card of their choice - Tim Hortons, Starbucks, Sports Chek, or McDonald’s.
Players, parents, and fans can share video clips of their favourite plays - from great goals and saves to teamwork and acts of fair play. There’s no limit to how many clips you can submit, and all ages are welcome.
The first round of submissions is due by November 7, covering plays from the start of the season. After that, submissions will be accepted by the 7th of each month for plays from the previous month.
Let’s make Plays of the Month a BMHA tradition that celebrates great hockey, community spirit, and the moments that make this game special.

BMHA Goalie Development Sessions
With the highest number of goalies registered this season, it’s clear that interest in tending the crease is stronger than ever! To help our goalies build their skills and confidence, BMHA is again offering Goalie Development Sessions every Friday at Rosemary Brown Recreation Centre, led by BMHA Goalie Instructor Austin Caktas.
Sessions are divided into two groups:
- U11 & U13 Goalies
- U15 & U18 Goalies
This is a fantastic opportunity for BMHA goalies to train under Austin’s guidance and focus on the technical aspects of goaltending in a supportive setting.
